Where Michael stands
About 78% of Pitt Meadows is in the Agricultural Land Reserve. Michael brings his background as a produce manager to protecting our farmland and respecting property rights.
Insurance, levies, aging buildings and parking are real pressures for strata owners. Michael understands them from the inside.
Our airport is a local asset, and it has to respect its neighbours on noise and hours.
Practical crossing and traffic fixes, including digital signs so drivers can reroute.
Planned, serviced growth, not density for its own sake.
Equal rules for everyone. Hiring and promotion based on skill and results, with no identity quotas.
Keep taxes and fees as low as we responsibly can, spend every dollar as if it were the family's, and maintain what we already have.
Pitt Meadows since 2010
Michael grew up in Delta, one of six kids in a one-income household. He started working at 14. His first job was as a busboy at Mando's on Kingsway.
In February 1991 he joined Safeway, where he spent about 28 and a half years and worked his way up into management, including as produce manager. He bought his first house at 20, and took physio courses at Douglas College before deciding to stay in the workforce.
After living in Port Moody, Michael moved to Pitt Meadows in 2010 and raised his family here. He left corporate life in 2019 and still works for himself. He has served on a strata council since his early 20s, including as president, and still serves today.
In the summer you'll find him on Pitt Lake and the dikes. He keeps a boat at Pitt Marina.
